Quake of 4.6 magnitude hits China’s Ruichang city

An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 hit China's Ruichang city and several other areas in Jiangxi province, though there were no reports of casualties. According to the China Earthquake Networks Centre, the quake jolted the border area between the city of Ruichang in Jiangxi province and Yangxin country in Hubei province at 11:20 pm local time last night. Jiangxi provincial authorities sent a work team to investigate the impact of the quake in Huangjin, Henglishan and Nanyang townships immediately after the tremor occurred and found no casualties. Authorities said twenty-three aftershocks, with the largest measuring 2.8, were recorded within two hours after the quake.
