An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale today jolted off the Ryukyu Islands, southwest of Japan. <br/><br/>According to the US Geological Survey, its epicenture was about 226 kilometres east of Naka on the Okinawa island with a depth of 10 km under the sea surface. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage.
