A 5.7 magnitude earthquake in northwestern Iran on Sunday killed eight people in neighbouring Turkey. The official Anadolu news agency quoted Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu confirming the deaths. The news agency also reported Health Minister Fahrettin Koca saying 21 people were injured and eight of them were in critical condition.<br />''<br />'' The US Geological Survey said, the quake's epicentre was near the Iranian village of Habash-e Olya, less than 10 kilometres from the border. Tehran University's Seismological Centre said, the earthquake had a depth of six kilometres.<br />''<br />'' The Iranian emergency services said that the quake injured 40 people in the country's West Azerbaijan province.
