Quake hits Philippines

In the Philippines, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 shook buildings in the capital city of Manila on Tuesday. The quake struck at 10.10 am (local time). According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre was just 66 kilometres southwest of Manila at a depth of 137 kilometres. The government seismologist, Mr.Danny Tacadino said the quake was moderately strong and the depth was quite deep. However, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
