A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of northeastern Japan today, which is still reeling from the massive March 11 quake and tsunami. The US Geological Survey said the quake struck at 8:35 am (local time), 59 kilometres northeast of the Pacific coast city of Iwaki at a depth of nearly 38 kilometres. There are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties and no tsunami warning has been issued.
