Quad Summit will provide opportunity for leaders to review progress, says PM Modi

<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that strengthening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership will be the aim of his visit to Japan. Mr Modi said he looks forward to a bilateral meeting with Anthony Albanese during which the multifaceted cooperation between India and Australia under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and regional and global issues of mutual interest will be discussed.<br />''<br />''Economic cooperation between India and Japan is an important aspect of Special Strategic and Global Partnership.<br />''<br />''During the 14th India-Japan Annual Summit in March 2022, Prime Minister Kishida and Mr Modi announced their intention to realize Japanese Yen five trillion in public and private investment and financing over the next five years from Japan to India.<br />''<br />''During the visit, Prime Minister said he will meet with Japanese business leaders with the goal of further strengthening economic linkages between the two countries, in pursuit of this objective.<br />''<br />''Japan is home to nearly 40,000 members of the Indian diaspora, who are an important anchor in relations with Japan.  Mr Modi will also interact with the Indian diaspora in Japan.<br />''<br />''Mr Modi is visiting Japan at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida. </span><br />
