QED's merger with SP a case of vote-bank politics: BJP

BJP today hit out at Samajwadi Party for embracing Mukhtar Ansari's Qaumi Ekta Dal into its fold alleging that the ruling party at UP is trying to communalise the state by such a decision. <br/><br/>Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party Secretary Shrikant Sharma alleged that the SP's move is an attempt to win the upcoming assembly elections with the help of criminal elements. <br/><br/>He termed the sacking of UP Minister Balaram Yadav as an eye wash. The Minister was reportedly sacked for facilitating merger of Quami Ekta Dal into Samajwadi Party. <br/><br/>Mr. Sharma said the entire script of merger of Ansari's party was written under the eye of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who is trying to save his image by sacking the Minister. He said the UP government has failed on all fronts.
