Both in-form players stormed into the finals after beating their respective opponents with minimum fuss, in the semi-finals played late last night. While Serena defeated Russia's Maria Sharapova in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2; Azarenka, who was dethroned from the World Number One position, beat Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, 6-3, 6-3.
