In Badminton, PV Sindhu today became the first Indian shuttler to lift the Korea Open Super Series title. In the summit clash played in Seoul this afternoon, the Rio Olympics Silver medalist, seeded 5th, recorded a sensational victory over Nozomi Okuhara of Japan, 22-20, 11-21, 21-18.Sindhu had lost to Okuhara in a closely contested World Championships Final at Glasgow in August and had to settle for a Silver medal.Today's win was Sindhu's 10th trophy overall and the second Superseries title. She had won the India Open earlier this year. Sindhu has now also equalled the head-to-head record against Okuhara, 4-4.
