Ace Indian shuttler P.V.Sindhu began her campaign at the Dubai World Superseries Finals with a well fought victory. She defeated China's He Bingjiao 21-11, 16-21, 21-18 in a thrilling 63 minute encounter in the women's singles. However, defending champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark defeated Kidambi Srikanth 21-13, 21-17 in the men's singles in a 38 minue encounter to make a winning start to his campaign. Eight players in each category have been divided into two groups in this tounament.
