Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated his call for dialogue with North Korea after meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The two met on the sidelines of an international economic forum that opened in Vladivostok in the Russian Far East today. After their meeting, Putin held a news conference.<br/><br/>He condemned North Korea, but said it is hard to resolve the issue through only sanctions and pressure. He said countries should not give in to emotions and push Pyongyang into a corner. Putin also disclosed a plan for Russia and South Korea to work together to supply electricity and gas to the North.<br/><br/>Moon welcomed the plan, suggesting that it may encourage Pyongyang to halt its nuclear development. Moon said he and Putin agreed that North Korea has gone down the wrong path with its nuclear and missile development. He said he believes easing tensions is an urgent matter.
