The Holy city of Pushkar in Rajasthan today has found a place in the Railway map. The Minister of Railways Mr. Dinesh Trivedi inaugurated the 24.2 kms long Pushkar-Ajmer rail line and flagged off the first train for Ajmer from Pushkar.Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot and Union Minister Sachin Pilot were also present on this occasion. Mr Trivedi assured that the govt will consider the construction of Pushkar-Merta and Ajmer-Kota rail lines. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has demanded the electrification of Delhi-Ahmedabad route and to conduct a survey for bullet train between Jaipur and Delhi.
