The Punjab Health Minister, Prof. Lakshmi Kanta Chawla has written to the Union Railway Minister to restore Chandigarh-Amritsar Train service which was stopped during terrorism.<br/><br/>In a letter sent to Ms. Mamta Bannerjee, the Health Minister has said that the train would be helpful for all those who go to Chandigarh, which is also the Capital of the State, to either get their official works done or otherwise.<br/><br/>She has demanded that since the busses consume more time and fare as compared to train, so a twice a day train should be started. Prof. Chawla has requested the Railway Minister to keep an Amritsar-Chandigarh train in this year’s rail budget.
