Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has urged the Union Power Minister Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde to ensure allocation of 250MW additional power to state from unallocated pool of Central Power Plants. In a letter to Central Minister, Chief Minister said that this power is required for agriculture in coming Rabi season and to the areas along with International borders, as PSEB is unable to meet the additional demand of power in agriculture sector. It has been estimated that to ensure 8 hour uninterrupted power for Wheat sowing, Punjab needs additional power of 5OO MWs
