Punjab to create Rs 100 cr dedicated fund for poor patients

In Punjab, a dedicated fund of 100 crore rupee will be created for the treatment of poor patients free of cost.<br/><br/>Presiding over a function to perform the ground breaking ceremony of a private Hospital at Mohali, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that the amount of this dedicated fund would be generated from the income coming from 5 per cent annual revenue from the upcoming Super Specialty Hospitals at Bathinda and Mohali, which are being developed in public private partnership.<br/><br/>He said that this fund would be subsequently raised from time to time with the increase in the income on account of annual revenue of 5 per cent to the Punjab Government from these hospitals.
