Today is the major day of Punjab elections because three main faces of three political parties are campaigning for their candidates. Prime minister Narendra Modi will kick start campaigning for BJP and Akali candidates in an election rally at Jalandhar in doaba region known as heart of Punjab. <br/><br/>Cong vice president Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally at Majitha in Majha region. He announced that Captain Amarinder Singh will be the Chief Ministerial cadidate for Congress in Punjab. Aam Admi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will be addressing rally at Patiala in Malwa region of Punjab. A report from Jalandhar where Mr. Modi is due to hold a rally shortly: <br/><br/>Prime minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the election rally of BJP at PAP ground in Jalandhar after some time. He is going to recount welfare and development policies of central Govt and will appeal to vote for BJP and Akali Dal candidates in upcoming assembly elections. <br/><br/>Punjab CM Parkash singh Badal , Deputy CM Sukhbir singh Badal, Punjab BJP chief Vijay Sampla , party national leaders Ramlal and Narinder singh Tomar are also expected to address the rally. Jalandhar police commissioner Arpit Shukla said that strict security arrangements are made. 6 companies of paramilitary forces and 1000 Punjab police personal are deputed for the security of rally.
