In Punjab, the Punjab AIDS Control Society (PACS) is helping the HIV positive pregnant women to deliver healthy babies. For helping such women, who come to know about being HIV positive after conceiving, the society has set up Integrated Counselling and Testing Centres (ICTC) all over the state.These Centres which have been introduced under Anti Retroviral Treatment Centre (ARTC) and Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission (PPTCT) programme, help HIV positive women to deliver healthy babies. However, due to various medical reasons, the percentage of having HIV free babies is not hundred per cent.
