Rich tributes were paid today in various parts of Punjab on special functions organised to observe martyrdom day of Shaheed- e- Azam Bhagat singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. <br/><br/>The Finance minister of Punjab Manpreet Singh Badal along with many dignitaries paid floral tribute at Hussainiwala martyrs memorial near Indo Pak border. The funeral of the trio was performed here on the bank of river Satluj after being hanged at Lahore Jail on 23rd March 1931. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion Manpreet singh Badal said that nations who forget the sacrifices of their freedom fighters are doomed to parish and the unparalleled supreme sacrifice of the Shaheeds for their motherland will always be remembered and they will always be guiding force for us. <br/><br/><br/>He announced that Govt will spend Rs 4 crore on beautification and development of Hussainiwala. He also announced that there will be a state level function on Baisakhi day at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar to commemorate the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre which ignited the flame of freedom. <br/><br/>Floral tributes were also paid at memorials of Mata Vidiyavati and BK Dutt. On the occasion a cycle rally of 1400 youth was also organized leaded by SSP Fazilka Ketin Balli Ram Patil.<br/> <br/>Punjab Power minister Rana Gurjit Singh along with other dignitaries paid floral tribute to martyrs on the Memorial at Khatkarkalan the birth place of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He appealed youth to follow the footsteps of these martyrs and fight to eradicate drugs from state. People visited Museum and paid tribute to the Shaheeds.
