Punjab Public Service Commission ignored rules: Punjab vigilance Bureau

Punjab vigilance Bureau stated that Punjab Public Service Commission ignored rules while recruiting Medical Officers during 2008-09.In a report submitted to Punjab and Haryana High Court, it alleged that merit was ignored in the process of recruitment. Report said that all six members and Chairman are responsible for the discrepancy. The report alleges that vigilance inquiry has revealed that there were discrepancies, cuttings, overwriting in the award sheets. No written test was held and selection was made on the basis of interviews only. It said during interviews all norms were not followed by the Board.
