Punjab Polls: Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh lashes out at Opposition for empty promises and PM security lapse

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today addressed an election rally at Faridkot and lashed out at AAP and Congress and urged the electorate to vote for the BJP in the ensuing polls. Rajnath Singh claimed that Aam Aadmi Party's promises are empty, and the party is bound to fail in fulfilling its promise of eradicating drugs from Punjab since they are the ones who are opening more liquor shops in Delhi. He said that the BJP will rather clean Punjab from the reign of drugs and terror within a year of the formation of the government.<br />'' <br />''Hitting out at Congress, the Union Minister said  CM Charanjit Singh Channi's government failed to ensure proper security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to the state. Citing national security concerns in Punjab, since it is a border state, Rajnath Singh alleged that the government that failed to protect the Prime Minister, couldn't be trusted to provide safety to the citizens. When Congress leaders are at loggerheads with each other, Mr.Singh questioned, how they will give a stable and development-oriented government?. He mentioned that the BJP government had given 80 crore rupees to the 1984 riot victims when the NDA  government was formed. </span>
