In Punjab, Election Commission suspended five officials including one Executive Engineer and one Police SHO. Five officers have been transferred for violation of Mode Code of Conduct. State Election Office is also verifying the facts of a complaint against an IAS officer.Meanwhile, 1420 complaints have been redressed out of the total 2250 received so far.All EVMs have already been set ready for 30th January polling. Special provision has been made for the blind voters on the EVMs as more than 9000 blind voters are there in the state.
