In Punjab, poll campaigning has reached its peak. National leaders of all political parties are campaigning in different areas in favour of their party candidates. Main leaders of regional parties are also addressing election meetings in the constituencies of their party candidates. Campaigning is going on peacefully.Traffic jams are not being seen anywhere in the state due to the visit of star campaigners as all political leaders are moving with fewer number of vehicles due to Election Commission's instructions. Surveillance teams and police have put up nakas at various places to check vehicles.On voters day today, State Election Office has started a special campaign to educate voters to vote so that greater number of voters come for voting on polling day.
