<br/>A team of Punjab Police will question the arrested Babbar Khalsa International suspect Nishan Singh Karam Singh. Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) had arrested 26 year old terror suspect from Chembur in suburban Mumbai yesterday. ATS chief Rakesh Maria said Nishan, an alleged narcotic smuggler, was travelling from Nanded with five other men in a Toyota Innova bearing a Punjab registration number. <br/><br/>The ATS team intercepted the vehicle on the basis of a tip off and searched it. The ATS found shotguns, pistols and live rounds in the vehicle. The six people were questioned. Maria said Nishan has been arrested while the details and pictures of the other five have been forwarded to the Punjab police to verify their antecedents. Maria said that Nishan is alleged to be part of the group that parked an RDX-laden car along with gas cylinders outside the Circuit House in Amritsar on May 8 this year. Punjab police arrested two persons, Sukhwinder Singh and Joga Singh, in connection with the case while Nishan was wanted. <br/><br/>Maria said Nishan is suspected of using his smuggling network to help in logistics and harbouring of arms and explosives for the terror group. Nishan has been booked under the Indian Arms Act and remanded to police custody till June 28 by a local court. Maria said on 28 June, the court will decide on handing over his custody to Punjab Police. Maharashtra ATS is trying to verify Nishan Singh’s criminal antecedents.
