In Punjab, notification for 117 Punjab Assembly elections will be issued on Thursday. Filing of nominations will also start from on Thursday which will continue till January 12, 2012. Scrutiny of nominations will be on 13th January. Last date for withdrawal of candidature is 16th of this month. A spokesman of the Election Commission said in Chandigarh that nominations will be filed from 11 O’ clock till 3 O’ clock in the afternoon on any day other than a public holiday.
