Punjab Hooch tragedy: Two Rajya Sabha MPs from Congress demand CBI, ED inquiry

In Punjab, two Rajya Sabha MPs from Congress Pratap Singh Bajwa and Shamsher Singh Dullo have demanded Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate inquiry into the Hooch tragedy. They met the Punjab Governor yesterday and demanded inquiry by CBI and ED claiming that liquor mafia is operational in Punjab. Refering to Khanna, Rajpura and Ghanaur the duo alleged the illegal distilleries are functioning in Punjab.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In a letter submitted to the Governor, both said, the Chief Minister does not know, what is happening in his home district. Raising questions on Excise and Police officers, they said, the officers of Excise and Police Departments are not aware of it. They said, the fair inquiry is not expected from the officers of these departments. They said that FIRs are being registered in various districts from last few days but the real culprits are not being booked.</span><br />
