BSF has thwarted attempts to smuggle heroin from Pakistan in to India.In 2 separate incidents along the Border in Punjab in the wee hours today, BSF seized 23 kilograms of Heroin, a pistol with a magazine and eight live rounds from the smugglers.Quoting DIG, BSF R.P.S. Jaswal, AIR Jalandhar correspondent reports that the value of the seized contraband in the international market is Rs 115 crores. The attempt to smuggle was made in Ferozepur and Amritsar sectors.In both the incidents, four smugglers were involved. But, they managed to escape into Pakistan territory taking advantage of fog and darkness. This is the first major seizure in this year.
