Punjab Government has released 6 percent Additional Dearness Allowance (ADA) installment with effect from 1st January , this year on the Central pattern to its employees and pensioners.According to a notification issued by the Punjab Government at Chandigarh, with this decision the present 45 percent dearness allowance would be increased to 51 percent on the basic pay. The government has also decided to pay the increased DA in cash from May 1st whereas the arrears up to 30th April would be credited to their GPF Accounts. Retired Employees of Punjab Government would get the same in cash.
