<br/>The Punjab Cabinet today decided not to enhance the age of retirement to 60 from the existing 58 years. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in Chandigarh this morning. Disclosing this an official spokesman said that the age of retirement would remain unchanged at 58. <br/><br/>The Cabinet also gave, in principle, approval to increase the age for entry into government service from 35 to 37 years. The Cabinet also decided that all the departments should send comprehensive proposals to the government for recruitment of essential staff on priority.
