Punjab government has set up a ‘Rehabilitation Cell’ at Chandigarh to rehabilitate immigrants of Punjab origin from Libya. A decision to this effect was taken by the Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal at a meeting in Chandigarh on Wednesday. The telephone number of the cell is 0172-2740173. The state government has also set up a ‘help desk’at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi for extending all possible assistance to the immigrants from Libya to enable them to reach their home comfortably.
