Punjab government has announced 50 per cent subsidy on vegetable farming to boost vegetable production in the state. Punjab Agriculture Minister, Mr. Sucha Singh Langah said in Chandigarh that the government would provide a one time grant of 50,000 rupees for a Net House in 500 square meter area to low and medium farmers to encourage farming of vegetables. He said that Punjab government would also provide 50 per cent subsidy on pesticide and anti fungus medicines in order to increase the quality of the vegetables.
