Punjab Empowered Committee has approved three mega projects and one super-mega mixed use integrated Industrial Park Project with an investment of more than 1900 crore rupees which would generate direct and indirect employment of nearly 7400 persons.Disclosing this a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said the empowered committee in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal approved a mega manufacturing project at a cost of 210 crore rupees at village Nangla in Bathinda district over an area of 48 acres. The Committee also approved another mega project of Film city being developed by a company with an investment of 111 crores at Dera Bassi in Mohali district. The committee also gave approval for setting up of Trade Centre at Dhandari Kalan in Ludhiana. Apart from these the empowered committee also approved a super mega mixed use integrated industrial park project being developed in Mohali over an area of 290 acres at an investment of 1219 crore rupees.
