Punjab Police Officer Baljit Singh who was killed in terrorist attack in Dinanagar on Monday was cremated today at Kapurthala with full-state honour. A contingent of Punjab police salute the martyrs by reversing arms.<br/><br/>Earlier today Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal met the family of Baljit Singh. Chief Minister assured all possible help to the family of the officer who died when a bullet hit him in the head. Talking to newspersons on this occasion Badal said country is proud of the martyred policemen. <br/><br/>Referring to the officer and three Home Guards who too were killed by the terrorists he said they sacrificed their lives to save the lives of others. He promised with the family of martyr to fulfill his responsibility as the chief minister. Chief Minister also visited the families of home guards near Pathankot. They were cremated yesterday in their respective villages with full state honours.
