Punjab CM seeks PM's intervention in Punjab youth's killing in Melbourne

Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal on Monday sought the immediate intervention of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh over the incident of killing of Punjabi Youth who was stabbed in Melbourne.<br/>In a statement issued at Chandigarh he urged the Prime Minister to ensure the safety and security of the Punjabi youth in Australia who had gone there to pursue higher education and other vocations.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister appealed Dr. Manmohan Singh to advise the Ministry of External Affairs for taking up the matter with the Australian government to curb such incidents of violence effectively as it was a constitutional and diplomatic obligation of every nation and government to ensure safety and security of foreign guests on its land as vengeance and hatred had no place in the society.
