Punjab Cabinet has approved the Right to Service Ordinance 2011 to ensure the delivery of citizen-centric services like driving licence, arms licence, revenue record and copy of FIR to the people within a stipulated time limit. Under this act, 47 general services and 20 police related services will be provided to common man. Talking to reporters in Chandigarh after the Cabinet meeting, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that notification about this ordinance will be issued by the end of this month.
