<span style="color: #222222;">The Border Security Force today recovered 49 Kilogram heroin, arms and ammunition after an encounter between Border Security Force Jawans and smugglers in the area of  BSF Border Post Chandu Wadala in Gurdaspur Sector of Punjab. A BSF Jawan was seriously injured in the encounter and has been admitted to a hospital in Amritsar.<br />''<br />''Given this information BSF DIG Prabhakar Joshi and Gurdaspur SSP Nanak Singh said that the encounter took place when  BSF Jawans sensed some suspicious activity along the international border in the blanket of dense fog and took action immediately. The smugglers retaliated and a shot hit the head of a BSF Jawan Gian Chand injuring him seriously. The smugglers came to receive the consignment from Pakistani smugglers fled away taking advantage of dense fog.<br />''<br />''DIG told that during the search operation BSF recovered around 49-kilogram heroin, two pistols, live cartridges, four magazines of AK-47 rifle and opium from the border. He said that BSF had talked to Pakistani Rangers and soon a flag meeting with them will be organized. SSP said that the smugglers who fled away will be arrested soon.</span><br />
