<span style="color: #222222;">Punjab State Assembly today ratified the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2019, as passed by both the Houses of Parliament to extend the reservation to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled</span> Tribes in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies for another 10 years. The State Assembly also passed three bills including the Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, the Punjab Right to Business Bill and the Punjab Water Resources (Management And Regulation) Bill. <br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Punjab Water Resources (Management And Regulation) Bill, 2020</span> proposes to set up a Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority consisting of one Chairman and two other members to be appointed by the government. Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill provide changes to make the levy and collection of taxes under the GST effective and easier for the tax payers. <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">These changes include provision of alternative</span> composition scheme constitution of National Appellate Authority for Advance Ruling, raising of threshold exception limit, provision of mandatory Aadhaar submission or authentication for persons registered under the Act, provision of annual and quarterly payments and returns and exemption in time for filing annual returns and reconciliation statements.<br />
