Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu today filed his nomination papers for Assembly polls from Amritsar East seat. Mr Sidhu is sitting MLA from this seat. The seat has become a hot seat in this election as Shiromani Akali Dal has pitched  Senior Akali leader and sitting MLA from Majitha, Bikram Singh Majithia against Navjot Singh Sidhu. Mr. Majithia filed his nomination papers yesterday. Mr Majithia is also contesting from Majitha seat.
