Pune Supergiants buys Ben Stokes for Rs 14.5 crore

Around 350 players are being auctioned for the upcoming Indian Premier League Cricket in Bengaluru today. England all rounder Ben Stokes has emerged the biggest of purchases at the first round of the players auction, going to Rising Pune Supergiants for a whopping 14.50 crore rupees after an intense bidding war. For left-arm spinner Pawan Negi, it was another hefty pay day as he bagged a one crore rupees deal from Royal Challengers Bangalore starting at a base price of 30 lakh rupees. New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson went to Delhi Daredevils at his base price of one crore rupees. Rookie Indian spinner Krishnappa Gowtham went for two crore rupees to Mumbai Indians, 20 times his base price of 10 lakh rupees. One of the notable names that went unsold was former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, whose base price was 50 lakh rupees .The IPL series begins from the 5th of April and will continue till 21st of May.
