Pune: Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh flags off IEC vans from Ambegaon and Baramati

Pune's District Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh on Thursday flagged off the Information, Education and Communication – IEC vans from Ambegaon and Baramati. A total of 12 LED-lit vans will be touring over 843 villages over the next two months to raise awareness about the various government schemes and to encourage citizens to benefit from them.<br />''<br />''Kolhapur's guardian minister Hasan Mushrif was present to flag off nine information vans under the Yatra and hoped that more and more beneficiaries would come forward and reap the benefits.<br />''<br />''In Amravati, the Yatra was flagged off by district collector Saurabh Katiyar. <br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Katiyar said efforts will be made to identify eligible citizens, who are yet to register themselves for receiving benefits under various Centrally sponsored schemes. He added that a total of seven vans will tour the districts rural as well as urban areas over the next two months to raise awareness regarding flagship schemes like Vishwakarma, Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Sanman and Mudra loans among others. In Chandrapur district, Deputy Collector Sanjay Pawar flagged off the yatra and said that seven vans will tour the district to spread awareness about Central schemes.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the information vans are receiving a great response from the citizens. A Dharashiv resident Shabana Gosal thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for building toilets under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.</span><br />
