The central bureau of investigation team has carried out searches in Pune at the residence of retired Vice – Chief of army staff Lt. Gen Nobel Thamburaj on Tuesday. The CBI also searched the residences of former defence estate officer S. R. Nayyar and the office of ‘Kalpataru’ construction firm. The searches were conducted following a complaint lodged by the Army headquarters, in New Delhi.
