In Maharashtra, the death toll in yesterday’s four-storey building collapse incident in Pune has risen to 11. Another 11 persons who were injured in the incident, have been admitted to various hospitals. Most of the victims are construction workers and members of their families. Fire brigade and police personnel have rescued many people who were trapped under the debris. The rescue operations went on till late night yesterday. Our correspondent says that the construction is reportedly illegal and a case has been registered against a former corporator and other owner of the land.
