Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Rashmi Shukla today said that six of the nine dead in the Pune German Bakery bombing are Indians while the three who remain unidentified could include a foreigner. She was addressing the media in Mumbai today on Pune Blast. Shukla told reporters that the dead in last night bombing at the Pune German Bakery included four males and five females. Out of which two males and one female were yet to be identified. She said that of the 57 people who had been injured, 43 were males and 14 females. While 20 have been discharged, the others were still in Pune hospitals. Reiterating Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram’s stance of there being no intelligence failure in last night's blast, Shukla confirmed that the Intelligence reports were received on Jewish Chabad House located near the German Bakery. Following which units were sensitized. She said that investigating agencies were sifting through the explosive materials that had been used in the blast, and were waiting for a report from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). Shukla said it is too early to give any lead into the blast as the investigations are on. She also rejected reports regarding another bag filled with explosives being recovered from the blast site. Shukla said only one bomb exploded at the German Bakery, no other suspicious bag was found as reported earlier.
