In Assam, pulse polio drop will be administered up to age of five years child covering all the 27 districts from Sunday . State Immunization Officer Dr. Ananta Bhuyan said that over 46 lakh child are expected to be covered in the immunization drive.A total of 23 thousand booths have been set up across the state to administer polio drop.State health department has also deputed over 88 thousand different health personnel for the successful implementation of the programme.While pulse polio will be administered on Sunday at booth level, health workers will visit door-to- door in the remaining two days.Various teams will be deployed at railway stations, bus stands and other public spots including markets. Special care will be given to the places adjoining with the neighboring states.
