A three day pulse Polio campaign began in Punjab today. This special campaign is for the children of migratory labourers. During this campaign health department has a target of covering seven lakh fifty thousand children. For this purpose six thousand teams have been constituted and each team has two member. Special camps have been set up near industrial areas of the state and in slums and sub-slum areas and villages. In the coming two days, special teams will make a door to door survey to administer the polio drop. It may be noted that two years back only one Polio case was detected in the state.
