In Tamil Nadu, the campaigning for Pudukottai Assembly by-poll to be held on Tuesday ended on Sunday at 5 PM. Twenty candidates including Karthik Thondaiman of ruling AIADMK, Jahir Hussain of DMDK are in the fray. 224 polling booths have been arranged for the benefit of one lakh 94 thousand nine hundred eighty voters. Of these 37 polling booths have been identified as sensitive and security has been tightened. For polling work, one thousand 95 booth officials have been deployed according to Election Commission. Three observers’ including one police, one general and one expenditure observers are monitoring the elections.The counting of votes will be held on June 15 at Pudukottai Government Women’s College.
