<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Puducherry Government has spent an amount of 95 crore rupees for the development of Fishermen community and in addition a sum of 98 crore rupees under Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Scheme was being utilised for the infrastructure development of fishing harbours. This was disclosed by K.Lakshminarayanan, Minister of Public Works Department (PWD) in the state, while inaugurating the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra today at Puducherry Municipality in Kurusukuppam.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">He further said that PWD is implementing 790 works with the estimated cost of 1,000 crore rupees in the Union Territory. He recalled the Outreach Programme organised by bankers last July and said that the distribution of bank loans in the programme, to the tune of 1200 crore rupees, by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was a historical event for Puducherry.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Minister, dignitaries and participants took the Hamara Sankalp Viksit Yatra Pledge. He distributed free LPG connections, bank loans and subsidies to the beneficiaries under various welfare schemes.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Vivek Sambarya, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, has participated as Guest of Honour. Sakthivel, Director of Local Administration, Mohamed Ismail, Director of Fisheries, Sivakumar, Puducherry Municipality Commissioner and other officials participated in the programme.</p>
