Puducherry witnesses sudden spike of Covid 19 positive cases

<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Territory of Puducherry witnessed a sudden spike of Covid 19 positive cases, with 128 more persons tested positive for the virus today. For quite some time, the infection was below 30. Of the  2022 swab tests taken, 128 tested positive for the virus. 36 persons were discharged from the hospitals. One died in Puducherry region.<br />''<br />''Presently, 267 persons are being treated in hospitals and another,579 positive cases are under home isolation, with a total number of 846 cases here. This include 24389 health care workers, 10158 front line workers and 25928 general public.</span><br />

The Union Territory of Puducherry witnessed a sudden spike of Covid 19 positive cases, with 52 more persons tested positive for the virus today. For quite some time, the infection was below 30.<br />''<br />''Of the 1290 swab tests taken, 52 tested positive for the virus. 18 persons were discharged from the hospitals. Presently, 85 persons are being treated in Puducherry region, 9 in Karaikal, 4 in Mahe region. Another,116 positive cases are under home isolation. The case fatality rate in the UT is 1.68 percent and recovery rate 97.79 percent. As many as 32,603 persons were given Covid vaccine in the UT so far. This include 14,989 health care workers, 5,579 front line workers and 12,035 general public.<br />
