The Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Mr. Iqbal Singh has said that territorial government will take all steps to attract more investments to make the Union Territory an industrial hub. Addressing the legislative assembly, he said that Puducherry will concentrate more on developing software park besides maintaining its leading position in hardware. Mr.Iqbal Singh said that the state government will come out with a renewable energy vision 2020 and constitute a green fund to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. Outlining the steps to be taken to promote tourism he said a comprehensive master plan will be prepared and steps will be taken to operate flight services from Puducherry during the current financial year.
