<span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Election Commission headed by Mr Sunil Arora announced the poll dates for puducherry, to elect the 30 members of the&nbsp; legislative Assembly of the Union Territory.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The term of the Puducherry legislative Assembly will come to an end on 8 th June, 2021. Puducherry will go to poll on April 6th 2021 in single phase along with the polling state Tamil Nadu.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The notification will be issued on March 12th 2021 and the filing of nominations also starts on the day.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The last date for nomination is 19th March and it will be scrutinised on 20 th and those who are not willing to contest can withdraw their nominations before 22nd.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Polling will be held on April 6th and counting along with results will be announced on May 2nd, 2021.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It is to be noted that the continuous updation of Electoral Rolls is still in progress.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to special summary revision of electoral rolls in all the 30 constituencies of the UT, there are about 4,72,736 male voters and 5,30,828 female voters with 117 third genders.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Further in Puducherry, President's Rule has been imposed and the assembly kept under suspended animation after the V Narayanasamy-led Congress government resigned earlier this week ahead of a vote of confidence.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
