In Puducherry, the Revenue Department today sought the certificates of all the candidates provisionally selected for MBBS admission in JIPMER under Puducherry quota to verify the genuineness of the same. AIR correspondent, it may be noted that widespread allegations were there that students from other states were found in the list of students provisionally selected for admission in Puducherry quota.<br />'' <br />'' Special Officer Suresh Raj in a letter to JIPMER Dean said, after the publication of the first round merit list for Puducherry UT quota by MCC, New Delhi, demand from different quarters were there to verify the genuineness of the students as many of them have declared their origin state other than Puducherry.<br />'' <br />''Also dual residence claim is doubted against few candidates based on their declaration of native state.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;"> In order to rule out  any allegation against obtaining of certificates from revenue authorities by suppression of facts and evidences and to ensure that the Puducherry UT quota in Jipmer MBBS admission is not misused, the certificates of the provisionally selected candidate under the UT quota be furnished with the Revenue Department.</span><br />
